My name is Amy Chaney and I'm the founder of Southern Chick Quilting.  I am a competition quilt maker, quilting teacher and a long-arm quilter.  I started quilting in 2003 with no quilting education, just a desire to learn and some creativity. I started entering quilt shows in 2007 and have won numerous ribbons for my quilts. I love taking quilt classes at shows with national quilting instructors because they share the same love of quilting as I do. I love all things quilting and especially love teaching the art of quilting to others who want to learn.  I recently became a long-arm quilter and can now see the huge potential of beautiful quilts  that I can make! I love to travel to quilt shows with my quilty friends and family. Follow me along on my quilt journey's. My hope with this website is to inspire people to make quilts that are beautiful to them and help them realize that you can do more than you think! Just try it!
